Greetings!

Thank you for looking at my page. I’ve recently graduated from Santa Clara University with a Biochemistry degree. While I was obtaining it, I spent many hours helping my fellow students understand the material we learned in class. I would also love explaining the science I had learned to my friends. (Teaching them about subjects like organic chemistry or physiology to name a few.)

However, it takes more than just knowledge to be a good tutor. As an teacher, I am friendly, patien…

Tiffanie T. from San Jose, CA Before finding Jeffrey, I've only tried my tutoring with those with PhDs, and, well, that was a complete disaster. Surprising, right? They were expensive, hard to understand, and did I mention they were expensive? (I'm going to college so I'm very, VERY frugal with money) While Jeffrey may be a college graduate, his knowledge in Chemistry is vast. No, really. This is guy is good. Before his tutoring, it took me about an average of two days (one day and a half, if I am lucky) to balance an equation, and even then it probably wasn't even right. Now, I can do it within the span of three minutes. YES! My knowledge in other things that is Chemistry has also grown. Now, I even find it, dare I say, fun!? (GASP) My confidence in Chemistry has also grown, most likely because Jeffrey is patient with my constant spazzing when confronted with a difficult problem...He's very, very patient. I think he's a robot in disguise. His major in biochemistry has helped me too, as I will also be majoring in the same field. He knows what I need to know for college and that was an advantage in something the PhD tutors did not have.

Sarah W. from Los Gatos, CA Jeffery gave me a chemistry review for my college-level general chemistry class this upcoming fall. He was amiable, informative, and flexible with times. Although it took me some time to grasp certain concepts, Jeffery was patient and helped me work through everything. I strongly recommend Jefferey as a tutor, and look forward to working with him in the future.

Tom Y. from San Jose, CA Hired Jeffrey to teach mainly science and math for my son (13) in 8th grade, and he has been doing a good job in these two areas. My son has reacted quite favorably to him and the lessons have had positive influence on his performance at school. Jeffrey also started to cover English and Bible Study as well, and we appreciate his versatility in covering more areas. He is conscientious and well-mannered young man.

Sylvia H. from Healdsburg, CA Jeffrey is doing a great job tutoring my son. He knows his stuff and is helping my son "connect the dots" with problems and questions in his physics and math classes. Kudos to Jeffrey.

Bruce M. from Mountain View, CA Jeffrey was very helpful in responding quickly to my tutoring request and offering several times when he could meet. He was polite, professional, and courteous with me. He was patient, helpful, and thoughtful with my son throughout the tutoring session. Jeffrey is a fine young man.

Dan M. from Los Altos, CA Jeffrey L. did a super job bringing my daughter up to speed with her college prep trig class. We will continue to use Jeffrey as her tutor.

Janet K. from Cupertino, CA Jeff has great experience and knowledge in the subject areas of Chemistry and Algebra. I think his sweet spot would be intermediate to advanced students who already have a solid foundation in the subject matter. He was prompt and polite. I would definitely recommend him.

Angie D. from Cave Creek, AZ If you are looking for a Biochemistry tutor, look no further - Jeffrey is it. He has an amazing understanding of the subject material (upper level material that many other tutors struggle with), and is equally talented at teaching. Jeffrey immediately sensed my study style and I quickly learned more than I realized at the time. The personal effort he puts into his tutoring illustrates that he truly cares. I am sure all of the above applies to every subject he tutors. I can't thank Jeffrey enough for how much he taught me in such a short time - my grades are proof that it worked.

Joni R. from Redwood City, CA Our son has been working with Jeff for about a month and half on IB Calculus. My son thinks Jeff is a good tutor. He knows the material and communicates it well. We recommend Jeff.

Halimah M. from Union City, CA There's hope for my daughter! After one session Jeffrey was able to identify some of my daughter's weaknesses in the area of Math. He's extremely knowledgeable. My daughter says he explains concepts well, showing step by step how to solve equations. She's already feeling better about Algebra 2 and she looks forward to future tutoring sessions. Success!

Sandip C. from Wilsonville, OR Jeffrey seems to be a nice person and very well mannered. The main concern we have is we are not sure if he is the best Math teacher for our son. He told us that he is more comfortable with teaching Chemistry. We would like to explore other options.

Jun S. from Portland, OR Jeff is very smart and knows how to break down the tough chemistry to easy pieces! If I don't understand his first explanation, he will try different ways to explain it. He's totally a cool guy! He makes my chemistry 222 is not as scary.
