I am a retired medical doctor, having practiced family medicine for about three decades. Since retiring I have tutored small groups of junior high and high school students in the Puyallup AVID program. I have also tutored several students one on one in their homes. I have been able to build strong rapport with most students and thus help them quickly improve their understanding of the subjects with which they are struggling.
