Music has been a passion of mine since I can remember, both as a performer and as a pedagogue. I have experienced firsthand the transformative, healing, and communicative power of music, so my ultimate goal is to share my expertise through teaching and performing.

I am a classically-trained violinist with 20 years of experience as a professional orchestral and chamber player. I hold several degrees in performance, including a DMA (University of Oklahoma), MM (NC School of the Arts), an Artist’s Diploma, and a BA (both from the College of Charleston). I am also a Suzuki-certified instructor in violin and viola, fluent in English, Spanish, and French, and have taught students of all ages and levels in a variety of settings (public schools, private music academies, pre-college, university, etc.), in person and remotely (via Zoom), both one-on-one and in groups. My teaching experience also includes music appreciation, string pedagogy, film music, and music history courses.

My students always achieve personal satisfaction and musical growth, regardless of age, level, and degree of commitment. Many of them have been accepted into colleges and universities with scholarships, won competitions, and placed in leadership positions for their school, state, and regional orchestras.

I have been fortunate enough to work with some truly great violinists and pedagogues, either long term or in numerous music festivals, who to this day continue to inspire my own teaching. My musical career has taken me all over the world, including performances in Brazil, Canada, France, Spain, Austria, and Japan. As a big fan of film, animation, TV, and videogame music I also arrange popular selections for strings.
