Montessori of Woodrige

The Montessori Philosophy is based on trust and confidence in the child and on an enriched environment,which makes developmentally appropriate materials available for hands-on use and exploration under the care and observation of a trained Montessori teacher. In this setting, the child is offered a great deal of information and order, and more importantly, he/she remains an independent and free thinking individual who learns by doing. It is the aim of our Montessori of Woodridge school to follow this philosophy.

The school administrator is Patricia M. Whyte. She is responsible for the standards set for a creative and enriched environment, and for the daily management of the school.
Her administrative secretary is responsible for receiving checks, making out payment books, taking phone calls and messages, and providing assistance.

We recognize parents as the chief educators in the life of the child.
We want to help you in discovering who your child is and what his or her needs are. We want to help your child to become aware of himself, his world, and the people around him.

Our teaching staff is made up of qualified professionals; including Montessori trained assistants and Montessori trainees. Parents, teachers and staff have in common the belief that a Montessori education is the best possible one for children. Together, we work to provide a nuturing, challenging environment where children develop habits, and skills for a lifetime of learning.
