The Creative Learning Center is a state certified preschool and child care program for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. A unique feature of our program is the involvement of high school students working beside professional staff in our preschool and infant/toddler rooms.
All students working with the children are enrolled in the professional/technical child care services program at the high school. Students are encouraged and expected to apply knowledge gained in the classroom, to their work in the child care setting

The philosophy of the Woodburn School
District Creative Learning Center is based on
mutual respect. The staff and students
working in the Center provide a warm and
accepting atmosphere for the child as an
individual. The primary goal is to promote the
development of the whole child. We believe
that the role of early childhood education is to
help children develop learning related skills.
These skills include self regulation,
independence, responsibility and cooperation.
Research shows that these skills can predict
future academic success.
