Wingate Baptist Church Day Care

Wingate Baptist Church Daycare was established in 1964. We are a part of the Child Nutrition Program and serve breakfast, hot lunches and an afternoon snack. The center is licensed by the North Carolina Department of Human Resources, Division of Facility Services, Child Care Section and operates under a Four Star Rating.

The program at our center is broad in content and informal in method. Experiences in Art, Music, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science and Large and Small Motor Development will be made available to the children on a regular basis. We feel that music is an important way for you children to learn language skills and math, so we offer music with a professional to our children weekly. The activities and experiences shall be designed to stimulate the social, emotional, physical and intellectual development of each individual child. Children are encouraged to learn and grow at their own pace. Our goal is for children to play at learning rather than be forced to learn and for each child to be ready to enter school. Parent involvement is encouraged by the different programs we offer for our families. Our older children take walking field trips to places like the Wingate Post Office, Wingate Fire Dept. and to the Batte Center at the University.
