The Westfield Cooperative Nursery School (WCNS) provides an outstanding preschool education. WCNS believes that pre-kindergarten education is an extension of a child’s home life. As such, teaching is geared toward the individual child’s level, needs and growth potential. Curriculum is directed toward guiding a child to learn about himself, his world and those around him.
Our program is structured to foster each child’s cognitive, emotional, social and physical skills to his optimum ability, while enhancing the child’s self-esteem through successful experiences. This is achieved through appropriate, concrete hands-on activities and play throughout the day. We help each child realize his uniqueness.
WCNS encourages parents to assist in the classroom once a month. This insight into your child’s development is invaluable in discovering your child as he interacts in the world. Beyond the classroom, parents may become involved in the school board and in various events and school committees.
