We believe that each child is unique. Children learn through their play with developmentally appropriate materials, and their interaction with other children and adults.
Our environment creates opportunities for children to develop a positive sense of self and to stimulate their growth academically, socially and physically. We provide an informal atmosphere, where the development of positive self-esteem is paramount. We foster a child’s self-expression, creativity and stimulate enthusiasm for learning. Our goal is to help children develop a positive self-image in an environment where their individual needs are met and respected. This goal should be reflected in the curriculum, which teachers are responsible for developing. We wish to provide a flexible and varied program offering music, games (both academically and imaginatively based), stories, and creative and imaginative play, all designed to develop a strong foundation for learning. A warm, nurturing, supportive and professional environment is provided for and by the staff and parents.

The teacher’s curriculum should be carefully planned to take into account the varying developing stages of each child. Our program is designed to encourage the developmentally appropriate academic growth, emotional growth, creativity and sef respect that are so essential in early childhood. Our main goal is for the children to feel good about themselves and comfortable with each other. Such positive feelings are promoted by allowing the children to experience decision-making by choosing many of their activities. We hope to prepare them by helping them to understand that their actions have consequences that affect not only themselves, but also others around them. In harmony with that, we strive for the children to gain self-discipline as well as the ability to verbalize their needs, frustrations, joys and accomplishments
