Dual Language Preschool located at Jennings School offers instruction in English and Spanish. Children must be 4 years old in order to attend. Morning and afternoon sessions are offered. Bridges Program located at Harbor School is a special education program for children with autism along with typical peers. An applied behavioral analysis instructional model is utilized. Morning and afternoon sessions are offered. Additional information is available by calling 860-447-6012.

PALS Preschool Articulation and Language Services an hour and a half weekly program held at Winthrop School. The program is led by a Speech Language Pathologist for preschool children who have an identified speech and language delay. Typical goals and objectives include improving production of speech sounds, increasing use of words to convey communicative functions, improving vocabulary and basic concept knowledge and answering wh questions about stories, personal experiences and classroom activities. The group is conducted similar to a typical preschool class with a circle time including songs and stories, snack time, table top activities and guided play time all in a language rich environment.

The Friendship School – The mission of the Early Childhood Learning Center, The Friendship School, a model urban, suburban, collaborative effort between New London and Waterford, is to ensure that all enrolled preschool and kindergarten children will acquire the readiness skills to be active members of a diverse learning community, and that their families are informed advocates involved in the development and education of their children by: maintaining high expectations for language and literacy acquisition through a developmentally appropriate curriculum; and offering full-day, comprehensive support services.
