Welcome to our school, my name is Nikki Shoulders and I am the Director of Childcare Network #62. I have over 20 years of experience working in the early childhood education Field as well as my certification in Early Childhood Education. I have also completed the ODU Directors Institute Program in 2009 and was awarded the Optima Award as Hampton Roads “Director of the Year.” I continue to stay active with the SBDC Early Education Business Program and other leading Early Childhood Organizations. By doing so, I stay on the cutting edge of continuing to provide high quality early childhood care for our children and community.

Beginning with a warm hello when you enter our front door, you will feel right at home and part of our family at Childcare Network. We pride ourselves in offering a safe and nurturing environment for our students and their families. Our classroom setting and our caring teachers make our school a place where you can feel comfortable leaving your child.

We welcome children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age into our various programs; starting with our Infant and Toddlers program and then leading to our Two’s and Three’s learning classrooms. We also have our Kindergarten Prep Academy (kindergarten readiness program) for our fours and five’s, which a full day program. In addition, we provide care for our school age children and transportation to selected schools. We have an exciting and enriching Adventure Summer Camp program that includes weekly themes and field trips for school age students and in-house visitors for our younger students.

Your child’s security is one of the most important concerns at Childcare Network. To ensure this, we have a keypad entry as well as a surveillance camera system.

Our school is a place where children learn through play. We encourage the physical, social, academic, and creative development of each child by utilizing our High Reach Curriculum. We also offer healthy, nutritious USDA-approved meals including breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.

Please call us today to set up a time to come visit our school and meet our outstanding staff. I personally look forward to the opportunity to meet you and your family!

Love CNI. My daughter went there from the time she was 8 weeks old until she entered middle school. Great summer program. CNI's Director is absolutely wonderful

We had 2 children who went to Childcare Network for over 7 years. The people that work there are very caring and supportive people. When our child was 3 they brought it to our attention that she seemed to not listen, but only when they were farther away. They suggested we take her to get her ears checked, and it turns out she was having trouble hearing and got tubes in to correct it. They also foster a sense of family. My kids were treated like their children would be. They helped teach them about sharing through some charity events, like filling Easter Eggs for needy families. My children are in 5th and 1st grade now, and they went to kindergarten well prepared and ahead of their peers. I highly recommend ChildCare Network (Ferry Plantation). Thanks0 Stacy

The teachers are very friendly and work well with the children. Everyone greets the children by name. They call whenever your child gets a boo-boo (like a tumble on the playground or bump to the head). The facilities are clean and well-maintained. Safety is important...security cameras are hung up front and all parents must have a code to enter the building. The teachers in the Kindergarten Prep Academy (KPA) class are preparing the children well for Kindergarten (e.g. letters, sight words, concepts of print, songs, numbers & counting, motor skills). They have family nights, carnivals, and Parents' Night Out. Overall, Childcare Network is a fun, safe environment with the focus on children's emotional, social, and pre-academic development. We have had a wonderful experience there.

I love love love Childcare Network. These staff are some professional and caring. I am a single working mom and going to school and things are sometimes challenging. They make dropping my child off so easy and comfortable. WhenI leave I know she will be fine. They helped me potty train. They let me know what areas she needs help in. Everything is exactly by the books and I love it. My daughter will be going here up unitl its time for kindergarten

Cni is wonderful! I drop my daughter off knowing she will play and not just be set in front of a tv because the class is overcrowded. The school has actual centers with a card system so no center can be overfilled and my daughter loves that.

My son and daughter have been attending the center for almost three months and I am very pleased. The staff is really nice and professional. The center is welcoming. I would recommend this center to anyone who is looking for a place to keep their little ones while working.
