Our mission at Tolland Cooperative Preschool is for parents and an early childhood educator to provide a quality, developmentally appropriate learning experience for children in a program that focuses on learning through play, active exploration of the environment, and interactions with peers and adults in preparation for future education.

The curriculum provides active learning opportunities for preschool children and incorporates the performance standards of Connecticuts Preschool Curriculum Framework developed by the State Department of Education Bureau of Early Childhood Education and Social Services with the assistance of EASTCONN regional educational service center.
The curriculum content focuses on all four developmental domains: cognitive (language and literacy, mathematical and scientific thinking); physical; personal and social, and creative expression/aesthetic development. The activities reflect the childrens interests and abilities and provide experiences that help them develop as learners with a foundation that will serve them well in kindergarten.
