Just For Me Family Center

My name is Melissa Wayland. I have worked in child care for over 16 years with all age groups. I received my Associate Degree in Early Childhood in 2000. I have experience in a wide variety of child care programs including High/scope, Montessori, parent co-op, and a few others.

Just For Me (JFM) was established in Oct. of 2005, after having my first child. I became certified by the 4-C’s and started in my living room with four infants. A year later I expanded to the kitchen, became licensed by the state, grew to eight children, and hired a co-teacher.

In 2007, I added a room onto the house, became a group center by the state, expanded to twelve children, and divided the group into Infants and Preschoolers. In June of 2010 JFM open at 148 W. Klubertanz Dr. across the street from Northside Elementary school.

Today, JFM offers an Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K and School-Age Program. The groups are small which allows JFM staff to provide a lot of one-on-one time with children. JFM also has weekly Spanish classes and a “Reading Train” program for families.
