The purpose of Bethlehem Preschool Center is to provide a warm, physically safe atmosphere of love, concern, support, and acceptance for children. The basic motivation for this ministry to children is the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and to provide a well-rounded developmental program which meets the physical, emotional, social, cognitive and spiritual needs of each child.

A Christian Environment
Bethlehem Preschool promotes a Christian environment with emphasis on meeting the spiritual needs of each child. Our Pastors and preschool staff model Christian care, teaching the children how to treat others with kindness, concern and empathy. Daily prayer and regular Bible stories are part of our regular program at Bethlehem.
Active Exploration
Research has shown that young children learn best through active exploration and interaction with adults, other children and materials. In particular, children learn best when they initiate and direct their own play and activities. When children have adequate access to experiences that are well-matched to their levels of physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth, natural learning occurs. Such experiences are developmentally appropriate.
Building a Positive Self-Image
The development of self-esteem in each child is a fundamental goal of Bethlehem Preschool. Children develop a positive self-image when they are given opportunities to make their own choices. Providing a variety of multi-cultural, non-stereotyping material and activities helps ensure the individual appropriateness of the curriculum and also enhances each childs self-esteem and supports the integrity of the childs family.

The teachers will familiarize the children with three simple center rules. You will find these rules posted in every classroom. The rules are:
