Highland Park Preschool

Pueblo City Schools’ Preschool Program is based on an integrated approach to child development. Art, music, movement, language, science and cognitive activities combine to immerse the child in an exciting preschool program.

We believe children learn best in an active learning environment that encourages
exploration and experimentation with a rich variety of materials. Through hands-on activities and the predictability of a daily routine, children begin to internalize and learn many concepts taught.

The purpose of our preschool program is to provide a quality preschool experience for children 3-5 years old who face educational challenges due to family, economic or developmental concerns. Young children who are in need of language development are at risk for school failure unless they can receive the support offered by early childhood care and education services. The ultimate goal of Pueblo City Schools is to stimulate and develop the necessary skills in young children so that they begin school ready to learn.
