First Christian Sunbeams is an outreach ministry of First Christian Church. We are vitally interested in providing an enriching, encouraging learning environment for your child. We are also thankful that we have the freedom and privilege of discussing God as our Father and Creator, and Jesus as our Friend and Redeemer. We enjoy singing songs that tell of God’s love for us. We enjoy creating plays that depict simple Bible Stories. During our study of the Alphabet we will discuss a person or object from Biblical times that begins with the letter of the week. During outdoor walks and field trips we will marvel at the beauty and variety of God’s creation, especially his creation revealed in the unique likenesses and differences in each of us.

Each month in the newsletter, we will describe the unit of the month, or discussion topics, of the month. We enjoy music which is often used during indoor large motor development to promote listening skills, rhythm, and appreciation. Both fairy tale and Biblical plays are a monthly part of our curriculum. We will study eight colors and eight shapes during the first four months of preschool. One letter a week will be emphasized during the remaining 5 months of school
