Deer Point Elementary Preschool

Deer Point Elementary School will be innovative in many ways. One innovation will be the research-based learning environment for both teachers and students. Typically teachers close the classroom door and work in an isolated fashion. At Deer Point however the building is designed for “team” teaching. Each pod contains two classrooms an Intervention Room a storage room and bathrooms. Two teachers will share the space the students and the materials using a multi-grade approach. Students will remain in a pod being taught by a team of teachers for two years. This multi-year multi-grade approach creates an environment allowing for more in-depth collaborative study between students from different grade levels.
