Little Treasures Preschool

Little Treasures is a creative, fun, learning environment. Our pre-school has a developmentally appropriate program with hands on learning in literacy, science, math, creative art, sensory exploration and drama. We believe young children learn by playing. They further their language development by story telling and drama. They improve their social skills while working together building a bridge in the sandbox or a tunnel in the block center. Science and mathematical concepts are introduced while balancing on a beam, counting blocks, cooking and mixing colors.

The Preschool program is designed to develop a positive attitude towards learning that will be carried throughout the school years. We explore subjects that encourage curiosity and offer challenges. Children are given time to complete projects and they are given choices to explore their areas of interest. Each group of children brings something new to the school. They all have different interests, needs, abilities and past experiences. Our teachers provide an environment that is rich in variety and creativity. The teachers allow the child to lead the lesson plans by listening to their stated interests or their themes as they play Socialization skills are increased as children learn to play creatively and cooperatively with a variety of materials. Children learn respect for each other by resolving coNFLicts, waiting for their turn and putting their things away. Our staff respects the parents and welcomes their visits. We are open for parents input and your help with classroom projects. We will communicate with you by talking, regular notes and newsletters. Our job is to work together so that we can do the best for your child during the Preschool years.
