The mission of Avon Nursery School at Avon Congregational Church is to instill a passion for
learning and a strong moral foundation in young children. Avon Nursery School offers the highest
quality early childhood education for 3 to 5 year olds. This is accomplished by actively following
rigorous NAEYC standards, by using a challenging and creative hands-on / minds-on curriculum,
and by providing a safe and loving place where peace, friendship, empathy and tolerance

Avon Nursery School’s curriculum incorporates activities that stimulate the cognitive,
verbal, social, artistic, imaginative, emotional and physical development of the students.
Our program offers 3 to 5 year old children the opportunity for social interaction and
