Preschool in North Bridgton, ME 04057
LPPC was established in 1993 and is licensed by the New Jersey Division of Children and Families. Our Director and owner, Kathleen Slattery, is on-site each and every day. She received her dual teacher certification in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education and has more than 25 years experience in teaching young children and supervising preschool staff.
Each class is supervised by a fully qualified teacher and teacher assistant. Our LPPC staff members are all warm, loving, caring, responsible professionals, who are carefully selected for their educational background, experience and training, and for their sensitivity to young children. Groups are divided by age and each class size is limited to allow for children’s individual needs and abilities.
We want you to know that at Little People’s Preschool Center, we believe that all young children are eager, enthusiastic and willing to learn! Each child is special and unique and our flexible curriculum allows each child to proceed at his/her own rate of growth and development.
Our main objective is to provide a quality childhood education program for young children. The focus is to create a positive atmosphere, which will promote the social, physical, intellectual and emotional growth of each and every child enrolled in our LPPC programs. Learning experiences, appropriate for the developmental age of each group, are planned daily. We provide and allow for a balance of structured and non-structured activities. We strive to make LPPC a special place where learning, love and laughter come together each and every day!
All children need to feel good about themselves! We strive to accomplish several goals with each little person who comes through our LPPC doors: to provide a comfortable classroom atmosphere along with a happy first school experience, and to establish, improve and maintain each child’s self-esteem and self-worth. Young children need to know and truly believe that I’m me … I’m special!

Choosing a preschool for your child is one of the most important decisions any parent can make. Here at LPPC, we work very closely with parents. It is always our goal to give your children the best early childhood education possible and to help them develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually.
Our major concern is the total development of every child. Keeping this in mind, we developed our curriculum to enhance self-awareness and a positive self-image, we provide and allow for a balance of structured and non-structured activities. Our staff is flexible and adaptable and adjusts to learning experiences that arise during the day.
As a whole, we try to give your children a positive view of themselves and the opportunity to discover, to question and to express themselves.
