Nye Beach Montessori Preschool & Kindergarten is a traditional Montessori School, based on the philosophies and theories of Dr. Maria Montessori, which incorporate physical, mental, spiritual and social development in the education of children.
Everyrthing in the classroom is child size and intended for students use. The special materials are designed to help the child see, hear and feel in physical form the abstract principles of math, reading and writing, geography, botany, etc.
Maria Montessori called the schools, “Childrens Houses” where children of mixed ages interact and help each other. The goal of our school is not to provide the child merely with academic knowledge, but rather to offer a loving environment which enables the child to evolve mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually at his or her own pace.
