Mt. Juliet Christian Academy - Preschool

MJCA is a community in which parents, staff and students strengthen each other in living out the gospel of Jesus Christ in teaching and learning. The MJCA Preschool Program is one of new beginnings. The goal of our preschool program is to open up a whole new world of learning for your child. Our teachers provide an atmosphere of belonging with love, compassion, warmth and fairness.

MJCA offers preschool for 3-year olds and 4-year olds. It is a blended program of Christ-centered academics and social development presented in a creative and playful manner. At MJCA students are viewed as God’s children, created in His image to be molded, developed and encouraged to use their talents and gifts for a life of responsible Christian service.

In pre-school we strive to:

• Provide a safe, caring environment in which children can discover, explore, and learn about themselves, others, and the world that God created.
• Model and encourage the love of God.
• Provide a basic foundation for each child’s future education.
• Provide an opportunity for cooperative play and learning.
• Provide each child with learning experiences in music, art, reading, math and writing to inspire creative development.
• Build a positive self-concept.
• Instill in each child the knowledge of their value as a precious child of God.

• Provide a Christian atmosphere where God’s love is openly expressed.
• Ensure a smooth transition from home to school.
• Inspire language development.
• Allow for plenty of opportunities at cooperative learning and play.
• Provide a solid academic foundation.
• Maintain a program where all children have the opportunity to feel the joy of achievement.

MJCA offers a full-day K5 program with advanced reading books as well as many visual aids to enhance learning in Bible, phonics, and reading. Developmental activities re-enforce our strong academic program, and Christian curriculum is used in character development and science. Kindergarten students participate in the following special classes: art, music, library, physical education and Spanish through Rosetta Stone.
