The mission of Busy Bee Learning Academy is to
prepare children for formal schooling in a
developmentally appropriate environment. All
domains of learning are developed. Our program
vision is to have children develop socially where they
respect one another, adults and the world around
them. They are happy children who are secure in
their relationships and attachments and enter
elementary school well ahead of their peers, with a
true love for learning.
Busy Bee Learning Academy is located at 500 County Rd. 401 on the west side of Linn, Missouri. The program is Director owned and operated. Busy Bee has been in operation since June, 1994. Busy Bee Learning Academy provides early care and education to children from birth through 12 years of age taught by college educated teachers. We offer full time care, before/after school care and an Introduction to Preschool and Half Day preschool program.

Busy Bee Learning Academy incorporates the
Bronfenbrenner Philosophy of early education
encompassing the whole child & family. Our
program is both Developmental & Instructional with
an emphasis placed on early literacy skills.
We believe children learn best when the basic needs
of nutrition, rest and health are met. The values of
each childs socio-cultural background are included
in the program curriculum. Teachers & peers help
guide learning as a socially mediated process. We
believe that children learn best by hands on learning
and intervention in a timely manner by teachers. Our
program is based on children developing via stage
wise changes. As they acquire a new skill they gain
the ability to share that skill with others and mastery
follows. Our curriculum covers all aspects of the
Missouri/Kansas Pre-K Standards.
Busy Bee Learning Academy believes in full
inclusion for children with special medical,
behavioral & developmental needs. We have
experience caring for children with ODD, ADD, ADHD,
PTSD, speech & developmental delays, failure to
thrive, birth defects, asthma, autism, PDD-NOS, fetal
alcohol syndrome, fetal drug exposure, visual
impairment, hearing impairment & abused &
neglected children.
