LUA follows and implements the curriculum guidelines as set forth by the Kentucky Department of Education Content Standards and Benchmarks. LUA will constantly update its academic curriculum in according to the curriculum of the Fayette County School District, the State of Kentucky as well as the national standards. As an Islamic school, LUA provides the Islamization of instruction in all subject areas based on the Quran and the Sunnah (the teachings and practices of Prophet Muhammad-peace be upon him).
