Tender Care Preschool & Daycare Academy

The After-School Program at TenderCare ushers students in on school holidays or in the afternoons following all-day classes, providing a snack, a safe place to wait for mom and dad to get off work, and assistance with their homework in a structured learning environment with trained, caring teachers. The Pre-Kindergarten program is a Georgia lottery-funded preschool, offering breakfast, snacks and lunch, while following the county school calendar. Ms. Tracy Baynes is a veteran teacher of eleven years and a degreed and certified instructor for the program. The Academy always has a Registered Nurse on site and has always exceeded state requirements in every area. TenderCare believes in giving children a good, strong, spiritual foundation as well, and also utilizes a non-denominational, faith-based curriculum in the classrooms.

TenderCare Community Healthcare Center, on the other hand, is a medical clinic providing a range of services including pediatrics, family health, new-baby check-ups, gynecology, womens health and dental. Their staff boasts three medical doctors, a full-time dentist, and a certified family Nurse Practitioner as well as an Outreach Department with a full-time staff of social workers and health educators. TenderCare also has a unique pharmacy service with two programs, assisting those with low incomes or no insurance.

TenderCare is listed as one of the best practices in the state of Georgia and across the nation; having received numerous awards including the Georgia Rural Practice of the Year award by the Georgia Rural Health Association. Center manager Lisa Brown also provides training and consulting across the country and helps to set up similar integrated programs in other rural areas.
