We are a family owned business with longtime roots in the Kansas City
area. We were prompted to get into the child care business based on
experiences we had with our own children in child care. The experiences
were good and bad, and we decided that more quality child care centers
were needed. We wanted to create a place where your Little People will
grow and learn and explore, a place where you can feel comfortable that
your children are safe and well cared for, a place where learning is fun
and exciting.
Little Peoples Place is designed for children ages 6 weeks through 4th
grade. We offer full day programs (full time and part time) and a half day
preschool program. We transport students to and from the Gardner
schools. We have large playgrounds for smaller Little People and bigger
Little People too. We want parents to be actively involved in our center,
so parents are always welcome to join us for lunch.

When our children were young, we didn’t think there was a real difference between
daycare and child development. But over the years, our viewpoint has changed. We
think being in the child development business instead of the daycare business is a
philosophy, a different mindset, a different attitude. We don’t want to just care for your
children, we want to be a part of their development process, to help them be as prepared
as possible for their next challenge in life, whether that is taking a step, learning their
alphabet, or learning to read.
