We will be licesned for 63 children, ages 4 weeks through 12 years. We currently have four classrooms on the main level with a school-age classroom on our lower level. Our classroom ages are as follows. INFANTS – 4 weeks – 12 months, TODDLERS – 12 months – 2 1/2 years, PRESCHOOL I – 2 1/2 years – 4 years, PRESCHOOL II – 4 years – 5 years, SCHOOL-AGE – Kindergarten and up.

Our curriculum is built on Creative Curriculum. The Creative Curriculum balances both teacher-directed and child-initiated learning, with an emphasis on responding to children’s learning styles and building on their strengths and interests. This curricula applies the latest theory and research on best practice in teaching and learning and the content standards developed by the State of Kansas and the National Association of Education of the Young Child. While keeping the original environmentally-based approach it clearly defined the teacher’s vital role in connecting content, teaching, and learning for all children. It features goals and objectives linked directly to valid and reliable assessment instruments such as the Hawaii Early Learning Profile. We are also mixing language/literacy, science/math and social/emotional curriculums to build all aspects of the whole child.
