First United Methodist Preschool

The First United Methodist Church Preschool and Mother’s Day Out program is a ministry of the church which has long lasting educational and spiritual effects on children and families in the Dyersburg community. We are proud of our program which includes a kindergarten-readiness curriculum, developmentally appropriate “center-based” activities, bible story lessons and music instruction which culminates in a Christmas and Spring program for the parents. Also, social skills are developed and reinforced as children begin learning to live and share together in God’s world.

It is our belief that the preschool child needs play opportunities to grow and develop as well as specific instruction in kindergarten readiness skills.

The small child explores and learns with all his senses – he touches, hears, smells, feels, and even tastes! He learns through experiencing the world around him. We will strive to give your child an opportunity to try his hand at jobs of various kinds, therefore, to learn by doing.
