Welcome to the Leslee Lloyd Child Development Center. Our state of the art center has been custom designed to fully meet the child care and educational needs of young children, and to maximize safety and teacher supervision. The infant rooms are shoeless environments where very young children can explore their world in a stimulating and safe way. Our highly skilled Infant and Toddler teachers provide nurturing and love as they gently encourage exploration. The preschool programs are designed to provide not only that same nurturing and support, but also an exciting environment where children can begin to discover the world around them through language, math, science, art, movement and music. The Leslee Lloyd Child Development center is conveniently located in Charlotte’s University area and is committed to providing families of the community with high-quality childcare.

Language Works creates a language rich environment to cultivate a lifelong love of reading and integrates activities for listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Math Counts gives children mathematical experiences with one-to-one correspondence, counting, sorting, patterning, and problem solving to establish a solid foundation in mathematical reasoning. Science Rocks stimulates childrens sense of wonder by encouraging them to question, experiment, observe, record, describe, and form conclusions. Our World acknowledges and values the rich cultural heritage of families and provides a wide range of experiences for children to learn respect for our world, its diverse people, and the environment. ArtSmart helps children develop an interest and appreciation of art, music, theater, and dance, encouraging them to uncover their talents and express themselves artistically. Well Aware fosters positive attitudes toward healthy living, physical activity, and nutrition through appropriate experiences that incorporate healthful habits into daily routines.
