Since 1977, Rainbow has been providing quality, loving child care. Kids thrive in our spacious classrooms stocked with a spectrum of equipment including crash mats, scooters, a pedalo, wheel toys, board games, art supplies, and enough blocks to keep pace with a child’s imagination. A combination of free choice and teacher-directed activities offers plenty of chances for exploration, play, and development of fine and gross motor skills.
At various times of day, you can find children curled on a sofa for story time; engrossed in an art or science project such as building model volcanoes; learning signs to accompany a song in circle time; climbing the indoor loft or our playground tree house; or just laughing with a friend. Whatever the season or activity, we strive to make every day shine.

We believe that young children learn best through play, exploration, and discovery. A child’s “job” is to be a child, and it is our goal to provide a variety of experiences designed to nurture mind, body, and spirit. We place a special emphasis on reading to the kids, and on positive interaction between children and staff. We have created a loving place with lots of space for our kids.
Small touches like fresh flowers, hugs and laughter are standard! Ours is a welcoming environment in which a teachers dialogue with children, families, and the community is fundamental to our program. Each groups curriculum emerges from childrens intellectual curiosity, social interactions and interests. We recognize a child as a strong and competent individual who has the right to receive the best care and education that we can offer. We know that children learn best through play and experimentation. Our goal is to provide a variety of experiences for children, building self-confidence and creativity and fostering intellectual development.
