The Red Wagon Preschool

Here at The Red Wagon, we believe in individuality, freedom of expression and for kids to be kids. We understand the importance of the guidance that children receive at this age and we have created a program and philosophy in which every thing they do gives them guidance and support. We have hands on games and crafts, group activities as well as individual activities to challenge children each day. The Montessori approach to learning is incorporated into parts of our program as well. We know that children are capable of more than we typically think, children here have opportunities to be successful all on their own. They are responsible for the supplies they use, for trying new things and they have jobs each day to help them become self reliant and to build their self esteem. Choices! Children are free to make their own choices at school. They can choose their activity, they can choose what they would like to create and what the are going to use to make it, they can choose whether or not they want to participate in something, they choose where they want to work in the school, it is all a choice. We are here to teach them that every thing we choose in life has an outcome. With guidance and discipline, children learn to make positive choices and see what the end result will be before it happens. Our job as preschool teachers is to help children, socially and academically, prepare for grade school. We work along side them and teach each child at their own level.
