First Academy offers a variety of childcare services for families with children from Infants to 5th grade. We understand your need for quality, loving child care, flexible hours, and affordable tuition. It is our mission to make sure all of our children Feel the Love while getting the most out of their preschool experience. Our professionally designed, thematic curriculum provides your children with the preschool experience they deserve. We are conveniently located across the street from the Windward Wal-Mart at 12920 Hwy 9 in Milton, GA 30004. Alpharetta, Milton and Windward Parkway residents and locally employed have enjoyed our services since 1988.

1,2,3’s and A,B,C’s are only the beginning of what your child will learn at First Academy. Music, Physical Fitness, Spanish and Reading Readiness are among the enrichment programs we offer. Our Classrooms are organized into “learning environments” where the children can find the toys, games and materials related by theme, interests and skills. Learning environments are an excellent way to individualize the curriculum to meet the varying needs of young children. We offer a healthy mixture of teacher-directed and child-directed activities which foster independence and optimal development. We use the “Creative Curriculum” format which is nationally recognized and holds the leader spot in early childhood education. It is environmentally based, meaning that if you set the child’s environment up with age-appropriate activities and equipment, learning will happen naturally through play. As early childhood educators, we know how important hands-on play is for early development and the positive impact quality teaching and tender care can have on your child.
We wish to provide your child with a strong foundation to build on for years to come and this is best done through hands-on discovery. Our teachers are required to prepare and post their weekly lesson plans in their classroom. The lesson plans are complete and list the themes and activities for each week to include: Circle Time, Language, Musical Movement, Arts & Crafts, Math & Science, Physical Health, Gross Motor Skills and Outdoor Play.
