I have been babysitting for 8 years, since I was 12. In high school I completed a child development course. Then, I worked after school in my school's nursery for teachers' kids. I cared for 4 little girls ages newborn to 4 years every school day, plus 3 additional children on Fridays. Also, I have experience as a teacher's assistant at a ballet school where I helped teach Mommy and Me, Creative Movement, and preballet classes to 2-7-year-olds. Most recently I worked in a church nursery at St. Philip's Episcopal in Frisco (February 2010 to June 2011). As the 2-year-old room leader I supervised a room of up to 20 preschool age children. I was responsible for teaching curriculum, including crafts, music, and Bible stories. I also stored materials and maintained a clean and tidy work environment. When needed, I traveled either to the infant room or to the 3 and 4-year-old rooms. Safety was a priority in the church, and I completed Safe Church Training.
