Hello, my name is Kayla. I am currently the co-editor-in-chief of a nationally award winning high school newspaper and vice president of Allen’s Interact Club. I am taking a year off before going to college in England. As a child I was an avid reader and loved doing arts and crafts. Even throughout high school and my busy schedule I have still found time to read and continue my passion for studying history. This love for reading, history and the arts is something I would love to share with younger children. I am very patient and work really well with children, especially when it comes to finding foods for even the pickiest of eaters! Over the past few summers i have also taken cooking classes, another passion of mine, and know a wide range of recipes and meal plans. Although I do not have a car I do have reliable transportation and will have a car by fall of 2012. I have had experience with babysitting neighbors and relatives here and there but I would really like to take this gap year before college to really positively impact someone, especially a young mind.
