ABOUT MY CARE:
I provide loving, quality childcare with an educational focus. Each day is full of fun in my home. I have a degree in early childhood education and that means our play has purpose! Each week we have lesson plans that include language, math, art, science, music and more. We spend plenty of time outdoors and make weekly trips to the library to coincide with our theme. This year we will be participating in the library’s summer reading program as well.

I provide breakfast, lunch and two snacks. I also provide separate napping areas for children who need them. During the summer we have field trips to the Discovery Garden, Zoo, and The Cincinnati Nature Center. Your child will have fun while learning. I am located off of State Route 28 in a new, quiet subdivision. Our yard is fenced in for safety. Exceptional references will be provided during interview.

ABOUT ME:
I have a degree in early childhood education and extensive experience that includes work as a nanny, lead preschool teacher, preschool administrator in charge of licensing, and Family Child Care Specialist for The Children’s Home of Cincinnati. I feel that my greatest accomplishment is being a mother of 5 beautiful children.

Heather, My wife and I just had our first son on May 15th. His name is Nolan Austin Thomas and he was 8lbs and 15oz and growing fast already. In mid August when my wife goes back to work part-time, we will need a part-time day care provider for Nolan. We are looking for someone who will be able to watch our son who will be 3 months old in August for two and a half days a week. The two full days will be on Monday’s and Wednesday’s for about 8 – 9 hours and the half day is on Friday’s for 4 – 5 hours. We are pretty flexible with scheduling and open for ideas for day care. We want a provider that is infant CPR certified and is familiar and comfortable around infants and the day care needs that infants require. We want a loving and caring person that will be able to provide the needed attention for Nolan. This person should also be able to provide learning and developmental exercises with Nolan. We live in Symmes Township near Harper’s Point on Montgomery Rd. If you are interesting in learning more about this opportunity, please feel free to call me at 513-379-9121 or e-mail me at mthomas@ohmatvega.com Best regards, Matthew Thomas

Our son was with Heather for a short time, but built a great relationship with her! My son was always in a great mood when I picked him up and had fun planning with all of the kids. She always had a new theme for each week which allowed my son to get exposure to new subjects all the time. It was a great experience and we will miss her.

I was extremely nervous about leaving my 3 month old son for the first time. I interviewed many women before seeing Heather and there was a world of difference between her home and its thoughtful set-up vs. other homes I had visited. From the first moment I met Heather, I felt put at ease. At the interview she was friendly , calm and reassuring. I watched her care for her own children and two others with complete confidence. Once my son was in her care, I was even more impressed. She provided activities that met him where he was at. During each stage of his development, Heather provided new and fun toys and planned activities that helped him grow and learn. Every day she gave me a daily note that kept me informed of my son's activities, eating, napping and diapering. Being a new mom, she was also great about answering my questions and affirming my role as mom! I am now a SAHM and I know my son misses his friends and the stimulation he received with Heather. She was a godsend when we really needed one.

My daughter has been with Heather almost 2 years. Heather is warm and caring, provides an excellent curriculum and pays close attention to each child. My daughter learns something new each day. She prepares excellent, nutritious meals, and goes above and beyond to ensure that each child is eating well. They play fun learning games, go outside, go for walks, and take field trips. She teaches them how to interact in a positive way and uses age appropriate techniques to stimulate social interaction. She always goes above and beyond to make sure my daughter is well-cared for and is very good at communicating with me. When my child is with Heather, I feel as comfortable as if she was with me.

My son started staying with Heather several months ago for three days a week. He absolutely loves it there! She is very organized and has new activities planned for the kids every day. Her lunch menus are also fantastic. She can get my son to eat vegetables (which is huge for us)! My son's vocabulary is expanding more all the time, as are his use of signs. He's learning how to interact with kids and gets excellent supervision. I am very happy to know that my son is well cared for while I am at work.

My son has been with Heather for only a short time and I appreciate all the things she has taught him thus far. He sings his ABC's, he counts and he loves to play outside which is good for him. With Heather he has the opportunity to visit the library, visit friends, special trips to the gym, arts & crafts, dress up....all experiences he had not had before. My son is a very well rounded little boy who enjoys all the interaction and new experiences Heather provides. We love knowing that our son is in a home that provides the love and support while mommy and daddy are away at work!

Heather is awesome. My son gets flash cards, block building, social interaction with other kids, he learns new words, he has new ideas, and he gets indoor and outdoor activities. I really like how much she genuinely cares for my kid. I am very happy knowing my son is in a good place. I feel like my son has a full fun filled day.
