The school’s founder and Director Maria Langone has over 20 years experience as a head teacher in a Montessori class room. It was her experience and love for children that allowed her to open her dream school The Montessori Garden. This facility is authorized to administer over-the-counter topical ointments only

A basic idea of the Montessori philosophy is that carried unseen within each child is the person that child can become. To develop his or her physical intellectual and spiritual powers to the fullest the child must have freedom achieved through order and self-discipline. Dr. Montessori developed what she called “the prepared environment.” Among its features is an ordered arrangement of learning materials in a non- competitive atmosphere which helps each child develop at his/her own rate. Dr. Montessori also recognized that self-motivation is the only valid impulse to learning.
