Waynesville Christian School and Home Grown Kids is a non-profit organization designed to prepare preschool children for kindergarten and to offer a safe and healthy environment for school age children to come before and/or after school. We are doing our best to keep costs low so that parents can afford child care knowing that their children are being instructed, nurtured and guided towards Christian values.

- Special Needs:
- The school district is responsible for identifying special needs and providing services. They are always welcome to provide services on our site and at times have done assessments here at WCS. They also provide a special needs program for preschool on the Wayne Local School site. We provide parents with as much assessment information and materials as possible to help make appropriate decisions for their child. Our facility is handicap accesible and our staff are always willing to provide for all of the needs of all of the children enrolled.

As early childhood education professionals we believe in developmentally appropriate practices. We will strive to meet the needs of individual students in a classroom setting at their developemental level. We will use centers to teach children at their level in all areas of learning. At the same time we believe that in preparation for kindergarten and future education programs the students will need to be prepared to follow directions, pay attention and stay on task. Therefore, we will integrate a portion of their classroom activities to develop those abilities. We also believe that discipline is an integral part of the learning process. In order to maintain fairness and order we will strive to help each student accomplish the fruit of self-discipline. As always discipline will be done truthfully and lovingly.
