YWCA Warrent at Jefferson K-8 School

The school is being built on the 19.5-acre site. Estimated budget is $13 million.
School is being built on the current site of Jefferson Elementary School (K-2 Pod). The existing school will remain operational and then be demolished once the project is completed. Permanent access to the new school will be provided from Tod Avenue and Fifth Street.
Bus and parent drop-off/pick-up areas are designed with separation and safety in mind.
Competitive athletic field will be included in the site design. The building design is unique and distinct from other new schools in the District. The building allows for grade level separations and future expansions.
The instructional programs in ALL of the District’s K-8 schools are and will continue to be the same.
Occupancy is expected for the 2010-11 school year.
