The Children's Workshop - East Providence

“The Children’s Workshop in Rumford offers high quality child care and early learning for toddlers, preschool, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and school age children. Our Kindergarten program is full day! The program is run by a certified teacher and has a low student-teacher ratio of 12:1, compared to 25:1 at the public schools. We teach to the GLE’s just like the public schools do while also teaching within our curriculum to help ease the transition from pre-kindergarten. Our school age buses and vans provide transportation to and from both the Pawtucket and East Providence public schools, as well as both private and charter schools in the area. No matter where you are in the city, we can transport your child to our facility before and after school.

Our center is located on the East Providence/Pawtucket line in the Narragansett Business Park off Newport Ave (near Building 19 & The East Providence Cinema). Our spacious, developmentally appropriate classrooms give us plenty of room for learning and play and are designed with our children in mind. We are never restrained by our lack of space and the teachers have the space to do any small or large project they can think of! Our center includes two outdoor playgrounds and a big, bright school age room! We also have an in ground pool which is an integral part of our large summer camp program. We have swim time for pre-kindergarten through school age twice a day, and even offer swim lessons for our preschool classroom. We have a certified lifeguard on staff who provides lessons and safety at our pool at all times."
