Greater Shining Light Christian Daycare

In September of 1979, Elder James A. Leak and his wife (Barbara) came to visit Shining Light. He had been sent by the late Bishop Joe Audrey of Winston-Salem to assist the pastor, the late Elder George Troxler when needed. At that time, the late Mother Francis Mabane and 2 of Elder Troxler’s grandchildren attended regularly. During Elder Troxler’s illness, the late Elder Judge Thomas of Reidsville had been assisting him in the ministry. Upon the passing of Elder Troxler, Elder Leak assumed the pastoral position in 1989.
