Childcare Network #298

I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Lorien Gilliland. I am a Director of Childcare Network #298 on West Friendly Avenue. I have been a Director in Early Childhood for 11 wonderful years. My family and I moved from Wilmington, NC where I was a City Director for a multi-site Preschool. I would like you to know how excited I am to be joining such an important group of professionals with Childcare Network. As your Director, I know that you trust us with your children for a variety of learning experiences. I pledge to support and honor that trust.
Since I will be spending a great deal of time with your child(ren), allow me to share a little about myself.

Education has always been very important in my family;
both of my parents are life long educators as well as my father being a minister. My undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro is a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre. I have continued my education in Early Childhood Development and Administration. I have been working in management in businesses in North Carolina and California for the past 15 years. My husband and I are happy to call Greensboro our home. We have two beautiful children, Anna and Tobias, who are the light of our lives. As a parent, I also understand the importance of trust, communication and a good education foundation.

You are your child’s first teacher, and the Childcare Network family builds on those learning experiences to create a positive learning environment for your child. I
