All Aboard Childcare Center

Standard Christian School opened in September, 1979. It was the earnest desire of Pastor M. David Johnson, caring parents, and concerned church members to see a greater percentage of our church young people enter adulthood with their Christian values and faith intact. Enrollment was twenty-one the first year and has steadily increased through the ensuing years.

Property adjacent to the church was purchased in the early ’80s and used to accommodate growing enrollment. College classes were also added during this time.

In February of 1991, a building expansion was initiated. Dedicated in February of 1996, the enlarged facilities were sufficient to house the school and allowed adjoining property to be cleared and utilized as additional playground and parking area. In 2004, All Aboard Child Care Center was added.

The financial support of Apostolic Life Center, the Albany business community and many friends has been essential to the success of Standard Christian School. Maintaining its high-quality, Christian-based education program has been possible only through the combined efforts of dedicated staff members, committed parents, volunteer workers and friends, and, above all, the blessings of the Lord.
