Hi! My name is Hannah Martins and I have been working with children for 4+ years. At age 11-13 I was a mother’s helper, I loved working with my cousins who were mother’s to watch their children. Since then, I knew I always wanted to work with children. I started babysitting at age 16, and at age 17 I got my first job at a daycare. I am now 19 years old, turning 20 in September. I am currently still working at the daycare I first started at (Creative Development, Trumbull), but I’m looking for a more flexible schedule. In the three years working at the daycare I have worked my way to be a lead teacher in the two year old classroom this past year.
My responsibilities include
- maintaining an organized and sanitary classroom up to code of all state regulations
- Creating a Curriculum, song list, and vocabulary list meeting the requirements of the CT ELDS
- Creating relationships with families
- supervise the safety and hygiene of all children in my care (under 3y/o 4:1 child to teacher ratio, above 3 y/o 10:1)
- prepare healthy snacks, organize mealtimes, schedules and routines, activities
- following all state regulations for COVID-19
My strong suit is keeping organized. I would not mind doing light house keeping, organizing, preparing meals, etc. I have a strong passion for children and will be returning back to school in the fall to start my journey in the early childhood education program. I will be leaving the daycare due to wanting a more flexible schedule. I have a car and would be able to transport your children to activities, etc. I am a non-smoker, and enjoy dogs (I do have a cat allergy) I look forward to tell you more about myself!
