Hello! My name is Neala Kelly!

For the past 10 months I have been volunteering in Colombia, South America as an English Teaching Fellow at a public high school. I gave 25 hours of direct English reading, listening, and pronunciation instruction per week with students and Colombian English teachers practice their speaking skills.
Having no prior Spanish ability, and teaching students with and average of A1/Beginner English levels, I was challenged daily with miscommunication errors. However, those challenges enabled me to grow and find creative ways to communicate. (Let me tell you, I am now a charades champion! haha). Since my return in March 2016 I have been a substitute teaching for SDHC.

I am looking for a Nanny or baby-sitter roles in the Tampa/ Brandon/ Temple Terrace area. (I am considering attending grad school in the next 2-3 years which is why I don’t want to start a “career” just yet). I have 4 nieces/nephews ages 8 mos to 8 years old, so this won’t be my first rodeo. haha.

Prior to teaching I held a seasonal internship with Busch Gardens Tampa as a part time recruiter in their HR department. I conducted daily interviews with applicants assessing their qualities, in order to staff positions at Busch Gardens and Adventure Island. Ive also served as a Peer Mentor for the USF Honors College; I assisted incoming freshmen in designing their semester schedules, answered any college life questions, and provided personal advice based on my past experiences at the University.
