I became a caregiver because of my love for kids. At the young age of 8, I had the privilege of babysitting my baby cousin and from there it went on to nieces and nephews and other family members or children of friends. Upon growing up with this experience I knew being with kids was a passion of mine which is why I went on to become a tutor as my first job. Eventually I became a teacher at learning center, I worked for a daycare, I became an after school counselor for the YMCA. Apart from working these jobs, I would also tutor family members and volunteered in summer camps and other programs in my community, also teaching students how to sing because singing is one of my two talents, the other which is dancing. I love being able to make a difference in children’s lives. I believe that kids have so much to offer and have so much potential and when I see smiles on their faces it makes my heart smile. I strongly believe that working with kids is meant for me, it’s my happiness at the end of the day.
