Hello! I am a recent graduate from Boston University with a BFA in Acting. I come from Stockbridge, MA, in the Berkshires, but I’m looking to make New York my new temporary home. I come from the most loving family and have two younger brothers. I am passionate about many things, acting (particularly Shakespeare), art, writing, music, dancing, culture, languages, child development, but mostly play! I’ve been working as a child care provider since I was 12 ( as a mother’s helper) and a sitter since age 14. I’ve always loved kids. I’ve sat for children between the ages of 6 mo. and 12 years. As few as one child and as many as eleven! At home I have a couple regular families whom I have been fortunate enough to work for throughout the years and to watch the children grow. I also, upon recommendation, have done many a one-time or last minute job. I love those as well. But this time I am really seeking a live-in or fairly full-time position, I want to get to know New York, maybe do some auditioning on my time off, but really just spend the year + in the company of a lovely family! I love to play imagination games, and to be outdoors, but I also love doing art projects, making crafts, and reading stories. I attribute a lot of this passion and knowledge to my elementary years at Waldorf School where I picked up all sorts of handy skills, from knitting, to painting, to dance. I also have experience working as a camp counselor for both visual arts camp at is183, Art School ( ages 5-12) and at theatre camp at Shakespeare and Company (ages 7-9). In my years as a sitter I have cared for children with varying dietary restrictions, anxiety problems, and special care needs. I am willing and able to be there for your child in whatever capacity they may need me. I myself am a vegetarian, but have sat for many vegan and non-vegetarian families, and can prepare whatever food your child needs. I would love to interview and get to know you and learn about your family! I’m back in the Berkshires on , but am close enough to come into the city for a meeting when it’s appropriate. I’m also happy to talk on the phone or on skype!
I am enthusiastic about life, the arts, and education, but mostly the healthy , safe, and vibrant development of your child!
