Starting at the age of 15 I had the opportunity to work with children as an employee of the Rockville Centre Recreation Center both as a party hostess and camp counselor. This allowed me to obtained experience with all age groups ranging from the 2 to 12 as well as managing my leaders in training who were ages 14 to 17. As a college student I continued to care for children throughout the year. At Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, I am a member of the Physical Therapy club. As part of this club I experienced working with disabled individuals during our annual Special Athletes Day. I also have experience as a youth basketball coach for a local Rockville Centre girls summer league team. Along with these experiences as well as a multiple babysitting jobs for local families on Long Island, I have gained the necessary qualities to be a successful caregiver.
