Hi – My name is Rachel, I’m a recent graduate from NYU Tisch. I’ve been working with kids since I was 14, as a volunteer aid for second graders with special needs, then babysitting for family friends and neighbors and I was a sleep away camp counselor for a bunk of 10 year old girls, while also working as departmental staff as a circus instructor teaching kids aerial acrobatics, tumbling and juggling. Over the last few years, I’ve primarily worked with kids ages 5 and older, but am also very comfortable around younger kids as well.
I’m a big fan of reading, boardgames, spending time outside and activities that encourage creativity and imagination (I grew up with parents who didn’t believe in TV and my younger brother and I became experts at finding innovative ways to occupy ourselves – I’m definitely an arts and crafts pro because of this). In my free time, I love to travel, read and bake.
