I started babysitting when I was 13. Over the last 11 years I have babysat for many different families. I have babysat for children ages 4 months to 11 years. I have babysat up to four kids at a time. I have experience as a camp counselor, swim coach, and teacher. The last family I babysit for I was with a year and a half and started when their daughter was 9 months. During that time I took care of her basic needs while also working with her on things like learning her colors, animals, alphabet, how to share, etc. I also watched her older brother, who is 11 now, and would help him with his homework. I think being a teacher makes me very value as a babysitter because I like to get involved with the children I work with and play with them. I also like to incorporate knowledge they will need to know for when they are in school but in a fun way that doesn’t seem like learning.
