I enjoy being a sitter because I find it meaningful to support families and build connections with children. I genuinely enjoy helping kids learn, play, and feel comfortable in their routines. Each child has their own personality and interests, and I love being able to create a safe, positive environment where they can be themselves. Its rewarding to know that my presence helps parents feel at ease and their children feel cared for.
Ive been babysitting for several years, starting with families in my neighborhood during high school. Since then, Ive cared for children of various ages, including toddlers and elementary-aged kids. My responsibilities have included preparing meals, helping with homework, managing bedtime routines, and planning fun, screen-free activities. As a college student, Ive learned how to manage my time well, stay organized, and be dependable.
While I havent completed formal certifications yet, I take safety and responsibility very seriously. I am attentive, calm under pressure, and always follow the instructions parents provide. Im a good communicator and make sure to keep families updated, whether its about how the day went or anything that might come up. I also bring a lot of patience, creativity, and a strong sense of responsibility to my work as a sitter.
