Hi!

My name is Marissa and I’m currently a senior at the University of Pennsylvania. After spending the past three years primarily focused on my studies, I’ve been blessed with more time to work outside of the classroom.
Prior to college, I worked for multiple families in the Orlando, Florida area. The children I took care of ranged from the ages of 6 months old to 12 years old. During my summers, I worked as a camp counselor for two year old children and in the service industry as a hostess at a restaurant.
While I could probably find a job as a TA or in the service industry, I would much rather spend my time impacting a child’s life. My experiences doing humanitarian work in Latin America and the Middle East left me with the conviction that childhood development sets the foundation for not only future academic and social achievement, but also global change.
It is my hope that in a care giving setting, I will not only be able to help instill work ethic and respect, but also confidence that any dream is achievable.
Although I do not have a car, I have a drivers license and have been driving for five years. I am comfortable driving to and from various locations.
